Kindle Vella? New book!?

Hello everyone,

I have some exciting news. My newest book that I've been working on since Summer 2021 will be published on Kindle Vella.

I'm excited to try something new and meet a new group of readers and provide content to you while I'm writing the story. I can't wait to see real-time feedback, comments, and questions for each episode. Good or bad, I will enjoy getting your responses after each episode release.

I enjoy stories on Wattpad and Webnovel as well as Webtoon and Lezhin, so for me, this is an exciting process to meet readers like myself on a new platform. Except, this time, I'll be the author!

I still have some initial work (and learning) to do before the first few episodes are released, but I wanted to give you all an update that hopefully gets you excited too.

I hope you start reading my new story and are excited to join me on this new journey! Please look forward to future posts where I will announce the story's release on Kindle Vella.

I want to allow readers to join me as the story progresses without waiting a few years for the normal publishing process.

If you don't want to read on Kindle Vella, I completely understand and respect your decision. However, once the story is complete on Kindle Vella, I will be publishing the book as an ebook and paperback! I hope that if you don't read on Kindle Vella, you will want to read the story as an ebook or print!

Format:

The format of the episodes will release in chapters. However, there is a 5,000 word limit for each episode. I may need to split some chapters into parts, i.e., Chapter 1 pt1 and Chapter 1 pt 2. I have a few chapters over 5,000 words, so this is likely the direction I will go.

Pricing:

Kindle Vella will allow readers to read the first 3 chapters for free, and then readers will need to use the Kindle Vella tokens to unlock subsequent chapters. The pricing is decided by how many words are in each episode. For example, 1 token per 100 words. Each episode has a minimum word count limit of 600 words and a maximum of 5,000 words.

Where can I access Kindle Vella?

Kindle Vella can be accessed from the Kindle App on your phone or tablet by selecting Discover > Kindle Vella or from the Kindle Vella website. From there, you will be able to search for any story listed on Kindle Vella.
