September 2026 Updates
Hello lovelies,
It feels like forever since I posted an update for you all. I have a few changes to announce today and a little personal life update.
To begin, I'v decided to remove Playing with Bunny from Wattpad and Inkitt given some of the changes occurring on both platforms. I apologize to everyone who was reading on those platforms; I hope you understand, and I would love for you to read it once it's published.
For Discovering Us and Love on a Dare, I've pulled them out of "wide" eBook distribution and will be placing them in Kindle Unlimited for the time being. Amazon truly has a hold on the market, and while I know a small number of you read on places like Smashwords, Kobo, and Apple, the vast majority of the market is on Amazon and Kindle.
I'll keep an eye on the market and changes in popularity of the other platforms and reassess if KU is still a good home for these books or not as time goes on. With KU, there is a high risk of piracy, and as I've mentioned before, Amazon doesn't really care if it was a piracy site or a legitimate site with a copy of the KU book. This is something I've considered, and will move forward with the shift for now. I would love to reach more readers, and with the economy in the state it is in now, many people are holding onto their KU subscription as their primary source of reading new books.
I apologize to any new readers who find me and do not use Kindle or KU. I know you all are out there, and I wish the exclusivity didn't exist.
In exciting news, I mentioned months back that I'm writing a paranormal romance. I'm about halfway through writing the first draft. I'm very happy with this story, and I can't wait to send it off to Geri for editing. Things have been a little slow in the whole "getting words on the page" part of the process. I've been taking a lot of breaks between writing. This really rolls into my personal life update.
In my real life, I've been in my industry for more than a decade. With that experience comes a lot of responsibility, and I'm feeling it this last year and a half. I've been in the throes of major project after major project, and it's very draining on me mentally. I don't have the time after work like I used to—I would log off and immediately swap to writing. Now I'm finding myself working late, and after a long day, I just don't have it in me to switch into writing mode. But my story is still coming along, even if it is slower than I planned. I can't wait to share it with you all.
I hope everyone is having the best year possible, and I look forward to sharing more stories with you in the future.
Always,
Jamie
